Sailability Auckland and the Rotary Club of Whangaparoa are hosting a Grand Celebrity Charity Dinner with funds raised set to benefit Sailability Auckland.
You’ll need to be quick if you want to secure your place at the ICA’s Cruising Preparation Seminar in Auckland later this year. Spaces are filling up fast for the two-day event, which takes place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November 2014 at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS).
Event three on the 2014 Traveler Series sailed from Marsden Cove, hosted by Onerahi Yacht Club, included another strong fleet of 16 boats including all four new boats launched in the last few months.
On Friday 27 February, exactly six months from tomorrow, the Race Village for the Auckland Stopover will open for business ready to welcome the fleet contesting the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-15.
Wakatere Boating Club has registered for Bart’s Bash on Sunday 21st September. This is a global event created to support the Andrew Simpson Foundation and to celebrate the life of Andrew (aka Bart) Simpson who was tragically killed during the last Americas Cup campaign. It’s also a genuine Guinness World Record attempt for the largest sailing event in the world and Wakatere is open to any class with a centreboard.
Five crews from Wakatere Boating Club, Kohimarama Yacht Club and French Bay Yacht Club contested the inaugural MRX Youth Pathways Regatta. The regatta has been introduced to suggest a fun and practical pathway from youth to adult sailing for our young sailors, so many of whom drop out of sailing after graduating from the youth classes.
