In an attempt to expand and improve the level of team sailing in the Southern Hemisphere, the New Zealand Team Sailing Association is holding the inaugural Pacific Rim Inter-Schools Team Sailing Championships, as part of the annual Inter-dominion competition.

2016 420 Oceania Championships wrapped up yesterday with New Zealand locals Josh Berry and Henry Haslett winning six points ahead of Japan’s Kataro Matsuo and Takumi Miura.

Giacomo has also broken the race record with their time now going down in the history books for the monohull record. Team Vodafone Sailing holds the multihull record of 2 days 11 hours 31 minutes and 3 seconds.
