It has been a whirlwind few days for the NZL Sailing Team and that continued with the first day of racing in Act 1 of the Extreme Sailing Series in Oman overnight (NZ time).
The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron run a number of programmes and are calling for applications for both their youth training and performance programmes.
The NZL Sailing Team received a late wildcard entry to compete in the Extreme Sailing Series in Oman, which will be valuable practice ahead of the Red Bull Youth America's Cup.
Entries are open for the Auckland Cup Teams regionals which will be hosted by the Kohimarama Yacht Club on March 30-31. This is an important event for high school sailing teams to qualify and rank for April's national championships.
This year's event to find the Top of the South champion team sailing school is shaping up to be by far the biggest since the start of the annual competition more than a decade ago.
