The weather was as good as the number of sailors who took part in the recent Wellington Schools Regatta hosted by the Paremata Boating Club.
As many as 56 sailors competed in the various classes and represented primary, intermediate and secondary schools from across the Wellington region. With the added bonus of a day off school, this regatta has grown in numbers over the last couple of years.
They were treated to a stunning Wellington day, although the wind fluctuated between 5 and 15 knots which kept the sailors on their toes.
Big thanks to the Paremata Boating Club and also Plimmerton and Titahi Bay Boating Clubs for their support with rescue boats.
