Fremantle Sailing Club to host 2017 International 420 Class World Championships

In July this year, the General Assembly of the International 420 Class Association (held in Karatsu, Japan), announced that the Fremantle Sailing Club had won the bid to host the 2017 International 420 Class World, Ladies World and U17 World Championships.

Maraetai Sailing Club’s Auckland Champs 2016

The Optimist Auckland NZIODA Championship will be hosted by Maraetai Sailing Club from Saturday 30th January to Sunday 1st February 2016. The regatta also includes the Auckland Champs for the Starling, P-Class and Rs Feva classes, promising a great weekend of sailing with approx. 240 boats expected.

At just 14 years of age Josh was pushing the vey experienced Scott Leith (4 x world laser masters champion)  to the max in every race of the Laser Radial class. To be competitive against such proven and experienced sailors is a rare talent, however those who have watched his rise may not be so surprised.
