It’s time for all sailors, whether racing or cruising, to update their libraries with copies of the new 2017-2020 Racing Rules of Sailing and Yachting New Zealand Safety Regulations of Sailing. 

RNZYS Youth Training Programme Graduate and recent WMRT tour card recipient Chris Steele will be joined by a crew from the RNZYS’ newly formed Performance Programme (PP) for this week’s Extreme Sailing SeriesTM Act in Sydney. 

The first day of racing for the Sailing World Cup Final in Melbourne kicked off today with 17 New Zealander’s competing across seven classes from the St Kilda Sailing Precinct.

The annual Sir Peter Blake Torbay Regatta has wrapped up for another year, finishing off with an outstanding day on the water. Torbay Sailing Club put on a great show for visiting sailors who travelled from Samoa, Australia, Singapore and across New Zealand to attend the annual event.

The annual Sir Peter Blake Torbay Regatta reached a record number of entries with over 450 boats entered into the event. The largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere.

Gold medalists Peter Burling and Blair Tuke have again stamped a firm mark in New Zealand’s sailing history books, being honored with the sport’s top award for the fourth consecutive year.

The 15th edition of the Sir Peter Blake Regatta is less than two weeks away! This largest dinghy regatta in the Southern Hemisphere has a strong tradition of encouraging sailors new to the sport to come to their first major regatta and to have fun, develop confidence and be inspired to continue in the sport of sailing.

A team of kiwi sailors will be bound for Australia next week, with some already on the ground training as the final event in the 2016-15 Sailing World Cup in Melbourne beckons.
