Aon New to Youth Classes Clinics are a fantastic opportunity for young sailors transitioning out of the junior classes to get a head start as they move into the youth classes.
Yachting New Zealand are hosting a one-day new to youth clinic at the Manly Sailing Club on May 14 for sailors who have recently transitioned into a youth class and might be now ready to enter the Aon Youth Programme.
These clinics aim to:
- Explain how the boat works
- Teach how to set up your boat for a variety of conditions
- Teach the fundamental techniques that will help you progress your own training
- Provide an opportunity to be assessed for eligibility to attend the Aon National Youth Clinics
You can find out more about the clinics and registration details here.
A minimum of three boats registered is required for a class to go ahead and participants must be rigged and ready to go at 10am on May 14. The cost of the clinic is $50 per person.
As well as hosting this clinic, Yachting New Zealand will also be supporting upcoming class have-a-go days that give sailors a chance to try out a youth boat they might want to sail. Please contact the respective class associations for more information.
