inn, Coral, Patrick and Xanthe have been selected to represent New Zealand at the ISAF Youth Worlds in Portugal (July) and the Youth Olympic Games in China (August) in the sport of windsurfing. They are 100% committed to the task ahead and giving it their all, training hard on and off the water.
This is going to be an amazing experience for them and hopefully by sharing their journey through social media, more Kiwi kids will be encouraged and inspired to get out on the water and give windsurfing a go! The sport needs an urgent boost to recreate a new layer of talented young sailors to medal at future international events following in the footsteps of past medal heroes Bruce and Barbara Kendall, Tom Ashley and Aaron McIntosh.
Although the ISAF Youth Worlds and Youth Olympic Games are subsidized, each sailor is required to financially contribute towards their overseas trip.
