Upcoming Coastal Skipper course
The Wellington Ocean Sports Centre (previously RPNYC Sailing Academy) is running a Coastal Skipper course starting on 1 August, which will run on Monday and Wednesday evenings until 3 October.
The Coastal Skipper course is prestigious course and it's qualification is a certificate of competency intended for anyone wishing to make coastal passages outside immediate harbour limits.
It is a theory only course of 45 hours in total covering:
- Coastal Navigation;
- Coastal Weather; and
- Coastal Passage Planning
There is an exam for each module.
The cost of the course is only $395 plus the exam fees
