Volunteers needed for O'pen Bic worlds

Issue date

The O'pen Bic world championships are coming to New Zealand and the host club, Manly Sailing Club, need volunteers to ensure this event is a success.

The regatta runs from December 30 to January 4 but help is needed from as early as December 17 when containers will be unloaded right through to the completion of pack down on January 7.

If you are able to help in any capacity for one day or the entire regatta, whether it's by providing boats, ribs or tractors or helping on and off the water, contact Sue Andrew on 027 294 5621
or volunteers@manlysailingclub.org.nz.

The world championships will attract the best Bic sailors from around the world in two open divisions - under-13 and under-17 - and sailors are expected to be of a gold fleet standard. Sean Herbert won last year's under-17 title on Lake Garda and Mattias Coutts ensured a Kiwi double by taking out the under-13 title.
