This year Tauranga Yacht & Powerboat Club has three different types of course on offer for young people who want to get into sailing or get better at it. We would love you to come along especially if you’ve never sailed before!
Learn to Sail –working towards ‘Start…Sailing!’ YNZ Level 1 (for beginners- no experience needed)
Dates: Tuesday 29th Sept. - Friday 2nd Oct. Time: 2-5pm
Or Tuesday 6th Oct. - Friday 9th Oct. Time: 2-5pm
Age: 8+
Price: $150 per child including boat hire
Siblings get a 10% discount
$120 per child when providing own boat
Better Sailing – working towards ‘Sailing…Fast!’ YNZ Level 2 (for those who have done Level 1)
Dates: Tuesday 6th Oct. - Friday 9th Oct.
Time: 10am-1pm
Age: 8+
Price: $150 per child including boat hire
Siblings get a 10% discount
$120 per child when providing own boat
Refresher course (for those who have done Level 1 or 2)
Ideal for those who did Level 1 or 2 ast season but haven't been sailing over the winter. Participants will be reminded of the basics of sailing and safety and given time and instruction to help them build their confidence on the water.
By the end of the course participants will be more confident in helming their own boat on all points of sail.
