Tasman Bay Cruising Club announces the inaugural Top of the South Trailer Yacht and Sports Boat Regatta, to be held on the 22nd – 24th January 2016. Come and join us in sunny Nelson for some spectacular sailing on Tasman Bay, renowned for its fantastic sea breezes and warm water.
This regatta dovetails into the well-established Nelson Regatta, which attracts over 40 yachts for great racing in Tasman bay, including the Abel Tasman National Park.
The regatta will start with an invitation race on the Friday evening 22nd Jan, back to back racing Saturday and Sunday with prize giving to follow. Sunday will also see the keelers in the Nelson Regatta racing around the cans, so it will be a spectacular day on the bay!
We envisage having at least two divisions for trailer yachts and another for sport boats. All racing will be around the cans, with a variety of courses. Plan a holiday around the regatta and spend some time cruising in the beautiful Abel Tasman and Marlborough Sounds.
