The Bucklands Beach Yacht Club are looking to appoint a head coach responsible for implementing and operating their sailing academy programmes.
Based in the eastern suburbs of Auckland, the Bucklands Beach Yacht Club sailing academy run Learn to Sail programmes for children levels 1-3, Have a Go Sailing and adult Learn to Sail levels 1-2, along with schools team racing and schools coaching programmes.
This is a part-time, seasonal role of 20 hours upward a week between September and May, 2018.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of sailing and at least four years coaching experience.
- Yachting New Zealand coaching qualifications.
- Flexibility with working hours - must be available to work weekends.
- Understanding of safety requirements.
- Strong role mode, good communicator and team player
- Self-Motivated with good planning and organisational skills
