Silver Medal for NZL Sailing Team at Lake Garda

Alex Maloney and Molly Meech have won silver at 2014 Vela Garda Trentino – the opening 2014 EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup which has just wrapped up in Lake Garda, Italy.

Maloney and Meech report; “With very breezy conditions on the lake today there was no medal racing for the skiffs. We finished the event with Silver, and a lot to take forward! Tomorrow the journey home begins.”

Others to record a top ten finish are Gemma Jones and Jason Saunders with 5^th in the Nacra 17 and Sam Meech 8^th in the Laser class.
