YNZ's Intermediate School programme Sailing... Have A Go! is back in season. The three mobile units continue to provide young people with a sailing experience, and one that disabled kids can take part along with their peers. This season’s three instructors are:
Reuben Corbett – Northern region
Paul Moriaty – Central Region
Craig Ryburn – Central Region

Craig and Paul are both returning for their second season as Sailing... Have A Go! Instructors while Reuben has a large amount of instructing experience both in New Zealand and overseas. All of the instructors are looking forward to a busy season with only a small number of days available during term 4.
The Sailing…Have a Go! trailers are a fantastic resource that are fully utilized around the country during school terms 4 and 1 each year when the programme is in full swing. But Yachting New Zealand is keen to develop more ways to use this resource during the rest of the year. Especially in helping clubs that are keen to develop their Learn to Sail programmes, which in turn helps in building club membership.
The bookings coming in from the schools dictate the route that the trailers follow around the country. If there are schools in your area (Primary & Intermediate) that you think may be interested in participating and your club is keen to host the trailer then please contact Stuart Thomas, Programmes and Services Coordinator at Yachting New Zealand, to discuss and arrange a visit. Likewise if your club is having an open day or such like and you would like us to come along, get in touch to discuss the possibility.
