It’s been a big year for the sport and Yachting New Zealand invites all sailing enthusiasts to join the fun on Friday 23rd November at our Celebrate Sailing afternoon.

What’s happening?
- Autograph opportunity: Heroes and Legends – FREE POSTER
Get up close and personal with your sailing hero. Collect a very cool 2012 medallists’ poster FOR FREE, grab some autographs and maybe even a photo alongside our Olympic sailing medallists… Jo Aleh, Polly Powrie, Peter Burling and Blair Tuke will all be there. No need to register, just show up, but don’t forget your camera and if you have ‘special something’ you want your hero to sign bring it along.
When? Show up at 4:30pm - Speed machines Exhibition Sailing: A collection of small boats and boards including some of the fastest sailing craft around will be in action just off the wall for onshore spectators. Plus the RNZYS Havana Club Rum Race fleet will be on the water providing the keelboat spectacle.

- 2012 Yachting Excellence Awards: The annual gala dinner celebrating the year’s yachting successes and recognising the behind the scenes workers is on from 6:30pm in the main hall of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. At the end of the night the 2012 Singapore Airlines Sailor of the Year will be named. Tickets and information available at www.yachtingnz.org.nz
