After decades attending regattas, meeting sailors and parents Sail One’s Kathie and Keith Elliott announced that the 2016 Optimist Nationals, held at Kohimarama Yacht Club, would be their last regatta.
“Kathie and I decided that the Opti Nationals at Kohi would be our last regatta,” writes Keith Elliott. “We would like to say thank you for all your business and friendship.”
“Sail One has been making and selling Optis, Ps and Starlings for 32 years. In that time, we have met lots of young sailors, parents, visited yacht clubs throughout New Zealand and overseas and we have had great times and trips.”
“We will be sad to say farewell to so many nice people and such a great sport, but we feel it is now time for us to ease up a bit and work on some new projects.”
