This from Full Metal Jacket Racing (Tiller) ...
After four days of racing in Korea FMJ have ended up 6th in the Korea Match Cup, going down in the quarter finals to defending champion Bjorn Hansen of Sweden.
At the completion of the round robin FMJ were placed 6th with a score of 6 wins and 5 losses. With a narrow course and obstructions on each side racing was difficult and it was important to win the pre start and protect the favoured tack.
Fellow Kiwi's Waka racing qualified top of the round and choose to race Ferrarsse Racing Team of Italy. Bjorn Hansen who qualified in 3rd place decided to race us. We fought hard and all of the matches were close especially the last two with Hansen coping a penalty in the pre start we were able to roll on the finish line and take the win. In the last match we used one of the rule changes to our advantage and luffed the Swede head to wind but unfortunately we were penalized when the boats touched coming back down to a close hauled course.
Results:
1st Bjorn Hansen
2nd Ian Williams
3rd Phil Robertson
4th Torvar Mirsky
5th Simone Ferrarese
6th William Tiller
7th Pierre-Antoine Morvan
8th Peter Gilmour

Next stop for the FMJ is the Sail Of White Nights in Russia next weekend, the team looks forward to this!
