The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron’s annual Nespresso National Youth Training Week is now in its 26th year and the December event is fast-approaching.
Promising young sailing talent, mentored by aspiring sailors from around New Zealand, will converge on Kawau Island for the week-long intensive course which will see participants “simply eating, sleeping and sailing”, says Hayden Porter, General Manager of RNZYS.
Each year, places are limited and all 44 were snapped up for 2015 in record time. However, thanks to Nespresso – a key supporter of sailing in New Zealand – an opportunity has been created for one deserving, young sailor who has applied to receive their fee paid by Nespresso.
Applications are open now for this training week scholarship and applicants are asked to simply send in a 100-word max paragraph on why they should be selected.
