Richmond Yacht Club’s Route 66 coastal race from Auckland to Whangarei is organised in association with Onerahi Yacht Club and SSANZ. With a 9am start on Friday 8th March you’ll finish Friday evening with time to join in the party at Marsden Cove Marina.
Route 66 is a good introduction race to the upcoming Auckland to Tauranga race held in late March and the Coastal Classic in October. As well as the traditional fully crewed divisions there is a new division this year which is the Single Handed division which is part of the Hauraki Single Handed Series.
The Route 66 is Richmond Yacht Club’s “short” coastal race – from Auckland to Whangarei over 66nm. Organised in association with Onerahi YC and SSANZ, the race now includes both a fully crewed and a singlehanded division.
