Yachting New Zealand in partnership with High Performance Sport New Zealand who deliver the Pathway to Podium progamme, have developed a programme for coaches.
This programme is about developing a selection of New Zealand coaches who are passionate, purpose driven and have a willingness to expand their knowledge and expertise in coaching. The focus is around upskilling and metoring within the successful Aon national youth clinics and youth classes.
"It is a high-level programme, in which we are looking for coaches who are keen to continue coaching within New Zealand and developing future high performance athletes," Yachting New Zeland youth co-ordinator Stuart Thomas said.
Pathway to Podium is a nationwide talent development programme helping emerging athletes and coaches be better prepared for the demands of a life in high performance sport.
It's also is about helping more Kiwis to win on the world's sporting stage. The goal is for some of the programme participants to win medals at Olympic/Paralympic Games or at world championships.
Applications are open until 5pm, August 30, 2018.
