Nominations are now OPEN for the 2014 Volvo Yachting Excellence Awards and need to be received at Yachting New Zealand by 5pm Monday 1st September 2014.
The Volvo Yachting Excellence Awards are a great opportunity to recognise not only the best performers in our sport, but also the tireless, hardworking volunteers who make it all possible and the organisations that contribute.
The 2014 Volvo Yachting Excellence Awards will be presented at a gala dinner function in Auckland on Friday 21st November 2014 at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron where the winners of the major prizes including the House of Travel Sailor of the Year Award (for the Sir Bernard Fergusson Trophy), Volvo Young Sailor of the Year Award and the Aon Emerging Talent Award.
The 2014 Awards recognise achievements taking place from 1st September 2013 – 31stAugust 2014, and Clubs can nominate in the following categories:
- Coach of the Year
- Isotak Official of the Year
- Yachting New Zealand Service Awards (formerly known as the Honour Award)
- Yachting New Zealand Performance Awards (formerly known as the Merit Award)
- Yachting New Zealand Youth Performance Awards
- Yachting New Zealand Cruising Awards
- Yachting New Zealand Presidents Award supported by Fuji Xerox
