2013 Volvo Yachting Excellence Awards: In celebration of 50 years of Yachting Excellence Awards in New Zealand, Partridge Jewellers have put forward a special prize to find sailing’s most selfless contributors.
New Zealand’s best sailors, coaches and volunteers are the people we will reward at November’s Volvo Yachting Excellence Awards. These stars of our sport can only do what they do with the support of their loved ones, yet these people’s support goes largely unrecognized. This group is often family; a spouse, grandparent or best friend.
This is your opportunity to nominate the person whom without; your sailing career would have not reached such heights.
Sailing is a family sport, and success at all levels requires ‘behind the scenes’ contributors. Rarely are these people revealed or celebrated. The Partridge Jewellers Diamond Anniversary Prize will go to one special person that has enabled the success of one of our nation's accomplished sailors, coach, or volunteers.
For the Partridge Jewellers Diamond Anniversary prize, Yachting New Zealand encourages all members to tell us about somebody who has supported you, somebody who has made a difference in your sailing career; somebody who is ‘always there’.
A judging panel will select the most outstanding nomination to receive Partridge Jewellers Timepiece or Jewellery of the winner’s choice, to the value of $5000 NZD.
Nominations for this special one- off prize category close on 1 November.
