The racing season got off to a good start on 14 September, with ten trailer yachts enjoying close racing in 20 knot winds and a 1.5 m sea.
The two races of the day saw a visiting Elliott 5.8 ahead of Meteor (Ross 780), Salacia (Noelex 22), and Silmarillion (Noelex 25), with the other six boats (various classes) exchanging places.
Starts and mark roundings were all entertaining, with boats contending strongly for position. And as usual the day was rounded off with sausages and ginger beer at the Club house.
