A meeting of 15 Lotus yacht owners at the Lowry Bay Yacht Club on 20 February enthusiastically agreed to re-establish the association. It had been in recess for several years. All classes were represented at the meeting including the Lotus 1280's which had previously not taken an active part in the association.
A commitee of eight members was elected. The incoming president,Bob Rowell, emphasised that the Association was to remain a national body representing all owners, and expressed the wish the Association would cater for both racing and cruising interests as well as suporting social activities.
It is intended that the web page be re-established. Subs were set at $30.
