Maraetai Sailing Club’s new Junior Sailing Programme has commenced. Andrew Brown of Force Racing has been brought in to design our sailing programme with the volunteer team at Maraetai Sailing Club.
We have newly trained volunteer coaches taking the level one beginner sailors on Sundays which has seen an increase of registrations and is now full thanks to the Americas Cup racing.
This year we are splitting our level two experienced sailors and beyond into three groups depending on their skill level and they will be coached by professional coaches on Sundays and Tuesday evenings. We are excited to see the increase in interest and developing more juniors through the classes and racing in regattas.
Our windsurfing season is also underway. With more Kona boards ordered and a big influx of registrations, it's going to be a great season.
Thursday nights sees the windsurf boards heading out for some paddleboarding. Join us this season in a little corner of paradise.
