Judy Julian of New Plymouth Yacht Club was awarded the Sport Taranaki Volunteer of the Month in June. She is valued for the tremendous amount of work she does at the club and at events they host.
Judy was the event secretary for the 2012 Optimist National Championships in April, responsible for all database entries, the finances for the event, results and scheduling of meetings over the week-long event. Yachting New Zealand nominated Judy for the time she put in as a volunteer.
Judy works at Spotswood College, and there they made the announcement at morning tea in the staff room. Thank you Judy for all the time you dedicate to our sport.
