The Northcote Birkenhead Yacht Club is looking for a Programme Co-ordinator to help develop a beginner to advanced sailing programme for the Summer 2012-2013 season (Sept to end April) as well as provide learn to sail instruction and race coaching.
This position is for an enthusiastic individual who has racing and coaching experience and can instruct the YNZ Learn to Sail syllabus with YNZ certification or equivalent. The candidate should be friendly, energetic and enjoy working with children and leadership and can provide excellent leadership, education and safety management.
Responsibilities will include classroom and on-the-water instruction as well as coaching our experienced and not-so-experienced young racers. As co-ordinator you will have the opportunity be in on the ground floor of a club that is just completing a major renovation and will be part of the North Shore community for many years to come.
