We’re back! Planning for the 2015 Jack Tar Auckland Regatta has begun. It’s time to mark the date and book the crew!
The Jack Tar Auckland Regatta, New Zealand’s premier keelboat regatta is jointly run by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron and Bucklands Beach Yacht Club. Entries are invited from all keelboat clubs throughout New Zealand. This prestigious regatta is now in its eighth year.
Announcing our naming rights sponsor: We are delighted to announce Jack Tar is back onboard as naming rights sponsor. Jack Tar is committed to supporting yachting in Auckland. What more could a sailor want after a day’s sailing than a cold beer and refreshments at Jack Tar, North Wharf.
Welcome aboard Doyle Sails: Doyle Sails NZ is proud to support the Jack Tar Auckland Regatta as the event’s official sail maker. Makers of world-class performance and cruising sails, including the innovative Stratis line, Doyle Sails NZ is 100% kiwi owned and led by Chris McMaster, Richard Bouzaid and Mike Sanderson. Operating out of the largest sail loft in the Southern Hemisphere, Doyle is a one stop shop and also offers service, covers, upholstery and rigging. We will be providing an overnight sail repair service throughout the regatta, and welcome all sail/service enquiries before the event.

Event format
The Jack Tar Auckland Regatta will have the following divisions:

- Cruising Division Non spinnaker
- Farr MRX Division(2015 Pacific Keelboat Challenge)
- Farr 1020 Division (National Championship)
- Open Multihull Division
- 8.5 Multihull Division Championship
- Stewart 34 Division
- Young 88 Division
- IRC Division (likely to be within ‘A’ division)
- Ross 930 Division
- Elliott 7 Division
All divisions except for MRX Fleet, Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March 2015. The Friday Race will begin at 1500 hrs and will be a Harbour Course. The results from the Friday Race will count ½ points towards the Series points.
