What is it that makes the Jack Tar Auckland Regatta great? It is an event for sailors, designed by sailors, and it gets better every year. For 2015, we are hosting the Pacific Keelboat Challenge, national championship for Farr 1020s and 8.5 Multihull Championships. Divisions include passage (spinnaker and non-spinnaker) and Sports Boats.
Entries
Entries are off to a good start. You can check out the competition on entries page of website. Get you entries in to be part of Auckland’s premier regatta.
Race Management
Our race management team are working hard finalising their volunteers for the regatta. Please assist them in getting your entries in so divisions and resources for each course can be assigned.

Thursday 21 March: Registration 5.00-7.00pm, Briefing 7.00pm, BBYC
Saturday 21 March: Jack Tar Auckland Regatta Party from 6.00pm
Sunday 22 March: Wrap up drinks/prizegivng from 5.00pm, RNZYs

Pacific Keelboat Challenge
The Pacific Keelboat Challenge is a great success story and this year there will be five overseas entries, four from Australia and one from New Caledonia. They will take on six
Kiwi crews in MRX yachts, racing for a model Waka Tua, which is a Maori War Canoe.

Dates of Racing:
(a) All divisions except for MRX Fleet, Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March 2015. The Friday Race will begin at 1500 hrs from the area of Northern Leading Buoy and will be a Harbour Course. The results from the Friday Race will count ½ points towards the Series points.
(b) MRX fleet, Friday warning signal will be at 1055 hrs. & Friday racing will count towards overall results.
Prizes – don’t miss the prize giving at RNZYS Sunday 22 March from 5.00pm. Be in to win!
