The 2013 Two Handed Central Triangle Race starts from Wellington on 2nd March 2013 with the first leg of 195 nautical miles to Akaroa. Leg two takes the fleet 350 nautical miles north to Napier with the final 205 nautical mile leg taking the fleet back to Wellington.
Entries are now firming up as boats complete their qualifications. So far we have eight boats entered from Wellington and Nelson, with Wedgetail and Am Meer completing their qualifying voyages over the Christmas break.

Details about the briefing are also being confirmed and we will have presentations from the Rescue Coordination Centre and Maritime Ops. The compulsory Briefing is 1000hrs Friday March 1st.

We are working on getting the radio scheds and details set up with maritime ops. We are also talking with Back Country Foods regarding a wholesale deal for those wanting to purchase freeze dried food ... watch this space.
Akaroa are getting prepared and we are finalising berthage and mooring details with the local contacts. Napier is ready for us. We are looking to try and arrange a wine trail for one of the days during the Napier stopover.
This is going to be a very exciting and challenging race for everyone.
