Yachting Victoria is pleased to confirm IFDS Classification will occur for IFDS Athletes at this year’s ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne on Sunday 1st December at Sandringham Yacht Club.
International Classifications are valid for one Paralympic quadrennium, so all athlete classifications must be renewed starting in 2013; Classification at the ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne provides a good opportunity for sailors in the Asia Pacific to renew or gain IFDS classification early in the quadrennium, as few opportunities are available when all sailors are brought together.
It also provides opportunity for Classifiers in the Asia Pacific Region to come together and share expertise; The ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne which runs from the 1st -8th of December 2013, will have 2 International Classifiers from Australia attending and the chief New Zealand National Classifier.
