Training Weekend opens the season…
Over the weekend of 22 and 23 September 2012, both Senior and Junior Centreboard sailors from Auckland, Whangarei, Totara North and the Bay of Islands, got together at the Bay of Islands Yacht Club to get themselves and their dinghies ready for the first major regatta of the season, which will be held in Auckland.
Brett Sheldon coached the single-handed dinghies in Ti Bay, with an excursion to Russell at the end of the day, while the two-handed 470 and Javelins practiced gybing and capsizing in Veronica Channel.
Learn to Sail Course on offer…
For people of all ages who want to get into sailing or racing, the BOIYC is offering a Learn to Sail Course on 8-12 October, followed by Opening Day on 14 October.
