More than 40 yachts competed in 2017 and this year's instalment of the Anzac Enduro from Auckland to Great Barrier Island promises to be even bigger.

The Chains Ropes and Anchors Anzac Enduro first appeared on the scene three years ago and is a two-handed yacht race at the end of April, with divisions for long haul (450 nautial miles), short haul (100nm) and cruising (60nm). The long haul race also doubles as a qualifier for next year's Round New Zealand two-handed yacht race.

Any yacht can enter any division. The long haul race starts from Westhaven on April 25 and the short haul and cruising divisions leaving on Friday evening. Prizegiving will be in Port Fitzroy on Saturday evening (5.30pm) before an informal rally back to Auckland on Sunday, April 29.

See here for more information, including the notice of race.
