Thirty Sailing and Boating Clubs across New Zealand opened their doors to the public last week for the 2016 Volvo Sailing and Boating week and reports received so far have indicated the week was great success.
Hundreds of people, young and old, gathered at their local clubs to see what the sailing environment is all about and were treated to a range of activities from Have a go! at sailing in dinghies and keelboats, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding to waka rides, regattas, endurance races and even PDF/lifejacket testing and safe boating advice.
The weather played its part, shining sunshine on all activities making sailing and boating look extra appealing to the visiting public!
A huge thanks to Volvo for their continued support in promoting and celebrating Sailing and Boating throughout New Zealand.
