Mahurangi College are hosting a year 7-10 regatta at Sandspit Yacht Club at the end of the month, which is a fun regatta and a good first travelling event for new sailors to the sport.
Races will be held for Optimists, Starlings, P-Classes, O'pen Bics and 420s on November 27 and consists of a couple of short races in the morning followed by lunch ashore and then back out on the water for a couple more races in the afternoon. Algies Bay is an excellent venue, with very good sailing waters and it's only 40 minutes from Auckland.
