FMJ Racing 7th In Pornichet

Issue date

Kiwi match racing team, FMJ Racing have been in Pornichet, France for the past week competing in the Manu Minard Trophy a grade one event held in J80's. It was a tough week for FMJ ending in 7th position.

FMJ got off to a solid start making the top four after the round robin meaning a spot secured in the quarter-finals. After the other four teams qualified for the last four spots we were to race Mathieu Richard former tour card holder and world number one. We lead every race but unfortunately not over the finish line in three of them losing 3-2 in a tight battle.

This week is Match Race France the sixth stop on the Alpari World Match Racing Tour starting on Tuesday from Marseille. The regatta is raced in J80's and after last week we feel good in these boats and ready to battle hard!
