Volvo National Sailing & Boating Day on Sunday 16th February 2014 is shaping up to be a fantastic day around the country with a wave of Clubs registering for the fun promotional day with Yachting New Zealand.
Registration is through a simple on-line form and all that’s required is a brief description of what your Club has planned for the day, timing and an image if you have one to supply. More than eighteen Clubs from around New Zealand have already signed up with planned activities including on-water and onshore opportunities for the public, Club tours, membership information on offer, BBQs open to visitors and more.
Yachting New Zealand can provide helpful resources including a printed poster which allows for customisation (pictured below), a Club Pack featuring tips and advice on how to promote your Club’s Volvo National Sailing Day within your local community and an example media release template to use as a guide.
The nationwide initiative, launched by Yachting New Zealand, the Volvo National Sailing & Boating Day is aimed at encouraging newcomers, and perhaps some old-comers, to get down to their local Club to meet some existing members and see what’s on offer for them.
