Excitement grows in New Zealand with Argentina and Japan visiting New Zealand 1 – 6 June to review Youth Worlds water and race courses.
NZ 420 Association wants spokesperson Deb Haslett comments with the increased International Team presence, International teams will see New Zealand Youth Worlds course water in New Zealand.
Australia, USA, China, Singapore, Chile, South Africa and Brazil are reviewing invitations to visit New Zealand.The NZ 420 Association are very pleased to be holding the 2016 420 Oceania Championship, with a training clinic beforehand, 5/6 June. The clinic is on the edge of the waters to be used later in the year for World Sailing’s 2016 Youth World Championship, which is being hosted by Yachting New Zealand.
Argentinian sailors Camila Barletta and Micaela Del Pero who placed 2nd at 2015 Argentina Nationals are excited to be racing Japan, New Zealand and hopefully Australia on NZ Youth Trials water.
The Youth 420 regatta is an opportunity for Youth World’s Teams at a pre-Worlds regatta, or for developing teams, to visit NZ.
For those countries keen to experience where the 2016 Youth Worlds will be held, the training and Oceania regatta will be in a similar area.
