Yachting New Zealand will hold two free seminars in September for any national race officer looking to revalidate, or current club race officers looking to advance their skills.
Race management seminars aim to provide the knowledge and skills required to ensure quality, consistent and fair race management for sailors. The race management seminar is a prerequisite to appointment and revalidation as a qualified national race officer. These seminars are free to attend for affiliated club members.
Seminars are being held:
- 11th & 12th September: Pleasant Point Yacht Club, Christchurch
- 18th & 19th September: Richmond Yacht Club, Auckland
Due to the restrictions of hosting seminars in 2020, the Race Officials Committee has agreed to offer an extension on all revalidations due since June 2020. If your qualification expired last year, or is due to expire this month, you have been given an automatic extension until 30 June 2022 to give you time to attend a seminar as required for your revalidation.
To register for one of these seminars, see the race officials course calendar and click on the course you would like to attend. You will need to create a log-in to the Yachting New Zealand website.
Spaces are limited, so register early so you don’t miss out.
