The sailing crew has a clear game plan for the finals of the Louis Vuitton Cup challenger series which start tomorrow......

An aggressive pre-start, gain the advantage if possible and capitalise on it around that course. It remains to be seen if the plan works out that way against a much-improved Luna Rossa.
The race format has been changed. Rather than one 45 minute race, two 25 minute races will be held throughout the final.
And as skipper Dean Barker notes, on the shortened course the boat that’s second off the line has a battle on its hands to get enough leverage to roll the leader.
“It’s a long series – a possible 13 races. With mistakes and issues with the boat, we’re more than likely to lose two, three or more races,” Barker said.
Tomorrow’s racing crew: Dean Barker, Ray Davies, Glenn Ashby, Chris Ward, Rob Waddell, Derek Saward, James Dagg, Grant Dalton, Chris McAsey, Jeremy Lomas and Adam Beashel.
