Emirates Team New Zealand update - Ashby wins Euro A Class title

Emirates Team New Zealand America’s Cup wing trimmer Glenn Ashby has won the European A Class catamaran championships just completed in France. He won eight of the nine races in which he started.  With his win secure, he did not compete in the 10^th race.

Ashby’s result follows the win in the A Class worlds sailed off Takapuna, Auckland, in January.

Skipper Dean Barker finished eighth in the 105-strong fleet. Chris Nicholson, skipper of CAMPER in the last Volvo Ocean Race, who had never sailed an A Class cat until this year, finished 19^th.
