The 2021 Doyle Sails Winter Series kicks off this weekend at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, when more than 100 boats are expected to take part.
By far the largest winter club racing series in New Zealand, it includes nine race days held on Saturday afternoons between May 8 and September 11.
The series is open to sailors and yachts from all yacht clubs and, with 11 divisions encompassing all types and sizes of yachts, there is a division for all to fit into.
Entry is still open right up until the day, but the RNZYS encourage you to get your entry in as soon as you can. Historically, the series sees more than 100 yachts on the water for every race, but any newcomers who haven’t taken part before are welcome to get involved.
Not only is there plenty of great racing and fun on the water, but every race day also includes a prizegiving at the RNZYS when food and drink specials, and more, will be available.
This year there's also a chance to win a brand new Jeep Compass for the entire summer, thanks to PIC Insurance Brokers. All you have to do is be at prizegiving for your chance to win.
The RNZYS hope to see you on the water this Saturday and back at the RNZYS after the racing. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the race office via raceoffice@rnzys.org.nz
