This year the Waller Cup will take place at Fairway Bay, Gulf Harbour on the 25th and 26th of April (ANZAC Weekend). Sailability Auckland is still finalising some of the details but at this stage everything is all go. The expected entry fee will be around $80 for a Liberty or 303 Single or double, which will include your $50 charter fee. SKUD’s will be around $120. Sonars are also invited and entry fee would be around $150 per boat.
At this stage it is open to Liberty’s, 303’s and Sonars, and Sailability Auckland hope to confirm the SKUD’s also.
For those using Sailability Auckland boats - If you would like to compete can you please confirm ASAP to avoid missing out on a boat as this year they will not be running an elimination round so it is first in first served.
Out of town and Auckland 303 Sailors: There is 5 x 303’s in Auckland - if you want to charter one at a minimal cost please let Tim Dempsey know ASAP or better still bring your own boat to increase the fleet size.
