Kiwi sailor Conrad Colman, winner of the 2011-12 Global Ocean Race, is teaming up with Eric Lecoq, founder of Lecoq Cuisine, to race a brand new generation 3 Verdier designed 40 in the 2013 Atlantic Cup.
In addition to his circumnavigation, Colman has four transatlantic crossings under sail and Lecoq is no stranger to the Class40 or short-handed sailing. He grew up in France and has been sailing and racing since childhood.
The duo have yet to meet each other, however according to Colman they appear to be very compatible based upon Lecoq’s short-handed experience and huge enthusiasm.
