Bay Week Breakfasts

Breakfasts will be available – good inexpensive food presented at the North Sails and Southern Spars marquee.

Can you pour Rum?

If you, or someone you know, have time to spare during Bay Week, we’re looking for volunteer bar workers to help out after each day’s racing.  Keen helpers will be provided with a dinner voucher, and of course a free drink – along with a Mount Gay Bar Shirt.

Update on SIs

The Sailing Instructions are currently underway, and will be presented at Registration.

In the meantime, please note Rule 55:  No rubbish over the side. In the Bay we take this pretty seriously, so please remember to keep all your rubbish on board until you return to shore.

A word about ‘extras’

As per the NOR - in 2016 it is highly recommended that you don’t use rubber bands or wool on your extras. In 2017 there will be a total ban. For your information, ‘Rikki’ along with many other boats, have had zippers attached to the foot and luff of all the gennakers. This works really well for the hoist and halves the time it takes to pack the sail. Haslar says “once you’ve tried it you’ll never go back - speak to your sail maker, they are all doing it now.”

Feast for Free compliments of North Sails & Southern Spars

On Thursday night mid-regatta we’ll have free food available in the regatta marquee at Opua, courtesy of Southern Spars and North Sails. Make sure you come along for a choice of delicious hand-size burgers or hotdogs – yum, and thanks to both Southern Spars and North Sails.
