Each year, with generous support and sponsorship from the Lions Clubs of New Zealand, spearheaded by the Karori Lions Club, Spirit of Adventure Trust is able to take 30 physically challenged young people to sea on a special 5-Day voyage. These 30 young people, aged between 16 and 20 years, come from all over New Zealand and are selected by referrals from schools and organisations.
The Inspiration Voyage is for youth between 16 – 20 years who live with a physical challenge. Participants come from all over NZ to take part in a 5 day development voyage aboard our purpose built 45m tall ship Spirit of NZ. Those who are interested in attending can be referred by organisations, schools and family. The focus of the program is to provide an opportunity to face challenges outside usual boundaries, gain confidence and achieve things that previously may have looked impossible.
