It’s time to start planning your entry for the 2013 NZ Open Keelboat National Championships.
The 2013 NZ Open Keelboat championships will be sailed in the MRX’s on the 8 - 10 March 2013 and will be run by the Royal Akarana Yacht Club.
"WE ALREADY HAVE 3 ENTRIES!," reports Tom Macky, MRX Yachting. "Sailors who are keen to enter need to get moving. Our fleet is also offering boats at very favourable rates to entrants who wish to practice in the boats on our Monday night sprints between now and the regatta. First come first served."
Key points:
Entry
- Entries will be accepted in the order in which complete entries are received and are due in by 22nd February – see NOR for details
- Entry to the regatta is restricted to 20 crews.
- The total weight of the sailing team shall not exceed 525Kg.
- The entry fee is $1200.
Schedule
- Registration: Thursday 7th March 0900 to 1830hrs
- Briefing: Thursday 7th March 1900hrs RAYC
- Dates of Racing: Friday 8th March to Sunday 10th March 2013
Courses
- The courses shall be windward leewards
- The intended course area is the Northern Leading area
Training Opportunities
- Special charter rates will be available for those entered in the Nationals for MRX Fleet Sprint racing: 4th, 11th, 18th February and 4th March – first come first served.
