The 2013 NZ Paper Tiger National Championships hosted by the Maraetai Sailing Club in Auckland continued competitive racing today with 2 more races completed in conditions that tested the full variety of conditions.
Race Five saw Dave Shaw of Nelson take another race win ahead of Mark Orams (Torbay) and Ryan "Rowdy" Leatham (New Plymouth/Evans Bay).
Race Six saw Shaw take honours following full on battle around the entire track with Peter Robins (Muritai). The lead changing places multiple times during the race.
Going into the final day of racing tomorrow (Monday 28 Jan) Shaw has the lead of 15 points from Leatham and Scott Pedersen (Napier) who are currently tied for second. Mike Hood (Worser Bay) and Hayden Percy (Napier) round out the top five.
Competition in the B Grade is tight with Hood coming out on top following today's racing.
Greg Shadbolt (Muritai) is currently leading the C Grade, while Lynley Manning (Evans Bay) is currently the first Female.
