Are you looking for a way to provide accessible sailing at your club? Looking to establish a sailing group for people with a disability? The NZ Access Class Association with help from AMP has two Access 303 dinghies available for loan.
These two dinghies are complete on a road trailer, and are just one year old. They were puchsed with funding thanks to AMP with the intention to to be used to help a club or new disabled sailing group find their sea legs while undertaking their own fundraising intiatives to purchase their own equipment.
They are approximately one year old and still in near perfect condition, and have until now been at the Waitara Boating Club in Taranaki. There, they have been well used by up to 80 young people with a disability in just one day! Sailability Taranki was established in March 2012, and since working with these two accessible boats, they have shown the potential to become a major community sport opportunity. They have now completed fundraising and will have taken delivery of their first two boats, with two more on the way.
Thanks go to AMP for making this a possibility!!
